FAQ
Questions we get asked
If yours is not here, ask it on a call — we would rather answer it properly than guess at it in advance.
How do engagements usually start?
With a thirty-minute call, free and non-committal. We will tell you honestly whether this is a problem we can help with. If it is not, we will usually know someone who can. Most clients then start with a fixed-scope diagnostic before committing to anything longer.
Do you take on interim or fractional roles?
Yes. Interim CTO cover, fractional technology leadership and board-level advisory through a raise are all common. What we do not do is place a junior consultant and invoice for a partner.
How are you different from a development agency?
An agency builds what you ask for. Our first job is to work out whether it is the right thing to build. Where the answer is yes, Aldemis Foundry can build it, with a senior technologist attached throughout.
What size of business do you work with?
From pre-revenue startups through to businesses turning over a few hundred million. The common thread is growth, and a technology estate that has to keep up with it.
Which sectors do you know best?
Fintech, payments, embedded finance, capital markets, SaaS and regulated environments generally. We take work outside those sectors where the underlying problem is one we recognise.
Do you work outside the UK?
Yes. We are based in London and Surrey and work across the UK and Europe, remotely and on site.
Will you sign an NDA?
Yes, as a matter of course, and before any detail is shared. Everything discussed in a first call is confidential whether or not paperwork is in place.
Still wondering something?
Ask it directly. Thirty minutes, free, no obligation.
We would rather turn work down on a call than take it on and disappoint you three weeks in.
